What are ACT Test Dates?

The ACT test is planned every year during the months of February, April, June, July, September, October and December. Professionals have always instructed students to appear early for their ACT tests starting from your junior years. If you don’t reach your goal you can repeat your test. Normally, students take three or four takes every year so don’t be anxious if you couldn’t score high the first time.

When to register for ACT test dates?

The choice of test dates depends on the university or college where you want to apply for higher education. Check the deadlines for each program on that institute’s official website. As you need your ACT test scores in advance it’s best to apply nearly five to six weeks before submitting your university application. This saves time and energy allowing you to focus on gearing up for your upcoming exam.

ACT test dates for retaking the exam?

If you took a test in February then the upcoming exam would be in April. Suppose your first test was in April. Then you may retake the test in June. The earlier you retake it the greater chance to retake it within the same year without waiting for next year’s exam dates to be released. This prevents your university applications from being delayed and submitting them with an unsatisfactory score.

All You Need To Know About ACT TEST SCORES

ACT test dates when taking both SAT & ACT

If you plan to take both exams in the same year it might not be the best decision. While these test dates never overlap the may be too close for comfort. Similarly, you should arrange your preparation schedule wisely giving you plenty of time to study for both these tests.

Are ACT test dates for international candidates different?

The process for the international students applying for ACT is more complex than that for candidates living in the U.S. The ACT test dates for foreign students are the same as they are for American students except for tests taking place in July. This is the only month in which no tests are scheduled for internal candidates.

What if my ACT test dates are rescheduled?

It is a pretty rare occurrence in ACT test history that any test was rescheduled. If an event like a snowstorm or any kind of electricity shutdown occurs on the test day, you will be notified ahead of time. In such cases, you will be eligible for the upcoming test date. Simply note the next test dates on the official website. If there is a long term problem, a make-up exam might be organized.

Which ACT test dates have an easy exam?

There is a misconception that ACT is easier in some months as compared to others. The questions are never repeated as they are in another exam. Every test has the same level of difficulty so anything you have heard to the contrary is just a rumor. Make sure you don’t take any ACT test dates lightly and study hard to achieve a high score to improve your chances of getting into a reputable university.

Can I take subjects on different ACT test dates?

The entire exam has to be taken on the designated date and not conforming to the regulations may land you in great trouble. Always read the minor details before taking the exam without assuming anything on your own. You are not allowed to take some subjects one day and the rest another day. Practice timing yourself and build stamina to avoid fatigue during the exam.

The ACT test is conducted at various locations every year all around the globe. In the USA alone, there are multiple places in every state that have been selected for holding the exam. Make sure to check the official website for further information on nearby ACT test centers for your convenience.

ACT test dates preparation schedule

Before you start studying for the ACT, take a Pre-ACT test to determine your current position as a student. Next, go through relevant college websites to check their application deadlines and required ACT scores. Shortlist the institutes that are on your priority list and calculate the amount of preparation time you need to achieve your desired scores. Divide your months into hours and dedicate sufficient time to each subject. Those who are improving their ACT scores are aware of where they lack and must allow time for those sections.
